In a social media climate where we’re craving connection and relatability more than ever, finding ways to connect with our audience should be a top-priority, and storytelling is one of the best ways to do this. The video doesn’t need to be you actually telling a story front-to-back, it’s more about bringing your audience on a journey.

🍵 The tea on TikTok Creator Challenges

  • Last week, I talked about getting invited to TikTok Creator Challenges, and explained that I wasn’t a fan as it felt like it was preying on creators who didn’t know much about usage rights. A creator who is part of this program hopped on a call with me and gave me the tea.

  • Here’s what you need to know:

    • The program is invite-only at this point and there’s only about 300-350 creators actively in this program

    • Each week, you receive 10 spots to apply for gigs. 1 brand campaign = 1 spot

    • Each gig has specific requirements and pay rates. For example, a video that gets 400k views might land you $800-900 while one that gets 3 million views might land you $500-600

    • Once you’re accepted into a gig, you’ll have 7 days to submit that ad for acceptance. TikTok will give you any notes if there are changes to be made, and then once it’s approved by TT, they send it to the advertiser for final approval

    • This creator made what some people make in an entire year in just one month from this program, but she makes a massive amount of ads each week
