  • Right now the key points of focus are:

    • Adding a following feed, edit button, post search, hashtags, voice notes, photo/video tagging, and fact-check markers

    • Launching a desktop app

    • Meeting EU regulations to allow the app to be launched there

    • Add Branded Content tags and tools

    • Adding government-affiliated media labels to relevant Threads accounts

💧 TikTok is testing an option to allow you to download your clips without a watermark

  • The option will appear for users in the ‘More options’ menu within the video upload flow

📸 TikTok is testing the ability to comment with a photo

  • You'd be able to leave a comment that includes a photo on a TikTok video.

👯‍♀️ Instagram is working on a new Stories sharing option: Friend’s story

  • Not much for details out there yet, but my guess is that this option would share the Story to your mutuals?

🌀 Instagram is adding a new Threads icon on profiles. It will appear in the top right corner

  • This will allow people to click on that button to go to Threads — assumingly your Threads profile

  • You’ll be able to turn off the “Show Threads shortcut” option
