🖥️ TikTok has revamped their desktop app
Enhanced "For You" Feed: The desktop app now features an updated "For You" feed, offering users a more tailored content discovery experience.
New Explore Tab: A newly added Explore tab allows users to discover a broader range of content and creators directly from their desktops.
TikTok is set to replace its existing Creative Center, including the Creator Marketplace, with the new "TikTok One" platform. The transition is scheduled to be completed by April 1, 2025.

While full video completions are a positive signal, the platform also considers the total time spent watching the video.
🎥 Instagram is exploring a separate Reels app
It would be a more direct replica of TikTok, opening to a screen of short-form videos. Instagram would go back to being a photo-only sharing app
This has only been explored internally and isn’t confirmed.
The development is part of Meta's internal "Project Ray," which seeks to enhance content recommendations and support longer Reels videos.
Meta previously launched Lasso in 2018 to compete with TikTok, but it was discontinued due to low user engagement.
