Growing + Monetizing Your Pinterest as a Creator with Whitney Sartain + Allie
We all love using Pinterest to find photoshoot inspiration or DIY projects, but when it comes to growing and monetizing your Pinterest account as a creator, there’s a lot to learn.
Did you know Pinterest is more of a search engine than it is a social media platform? Did you know that it can take a couple of months for your content to get indexed in the search results before you see growth?
This week, we’re here TWO special guests: Whitney + Allie, the Pinterest pros behind Ride the Wave Social. Whitney is a Verified Resident Pinterest Creator with a background in creative marketing that fuels her passion for brand integrity and turning first-time followers into brand loyalists. Allie is a Certified Pinterest Strategist with a passion for fusing innovative strategy with authentic content to help grow an engaged community on social media.
Ride the Wave is a Pinterest-First social media agency for content creators. They help creators, service providers, and course creators use the power of Pinterest to build an engaged community, increase their income streams, and diversify their online presence.
Today we’re answering all of your questions about using Pinterest as a creator. How can we grow the views and follower count on Pinterest? What’s the best way to research keywords to use on the platform? Where do we need to put these keywords? How can we actually make money on this platform?

Instagram is releasing new creative tools and features to Reels
Poll, Quiz and Emoji slider stickers, first made popular by Instagram Stories, are now expanding to Instagram Reels.
Extend your video up to 90 seconds.
Import your own audio. You can import your own audio directly within Instagram Reels — a game changer for creating one-of-a-kind Reels on the go.
Get inspired by Templates. Templates let you easily and quickly create your own reel using the same structure as a reel you've watched. When you see a reel you'd like to recreate, tap ‘Use Template’ to pull in the audio and clip sequence. You can then customize it with your own content by adding and trimming.
TikTok is launching “Clear More” for a distraction-free scrolling experience
Currently in limited testing with select users
Clear mode gets rid of all of the clutter on-screen, such as captions and buttons, when viewing content on the app.
Once clear mode is activated, you’ll no longer see usernames, captions, audio information, and more. In some cases, it appears that you can get rid of the like, comments, and share buttons as well in order to have a completely distraction-free viewing experience.
Instagram is working on the ability to start Live videos only for Close Friends
