In today’s episode, we discussed:
TikTok published an awesome report that shares some of the most popular + rising trends and hashtags for creators
Instagram is working on the “Add Yours” sticker for Reels — it’s called “Remix Me”
TikTok Duet but for Instagram
Instagram is working to show if a contact is online in the Stories viewer
Why are engagement & growth so low lately?
Consider the way the internet is changing. TikTok has changed the way we consume content. We consume + scroll vs. spending time creating connections with people
Actionable steps:
Anyone who comments on your photos/reels that you don’t know, send them a DM thanking them for engaging and introducing yourself
Ask your audience who’s watching and has never had a 1:1 convo with you, anyone who votes that they haven’t, send them a DM, and say hi!
Don’t promote, participate. Spend 15 mins each day responding to comments others leave on your competitors’ profiles. Stop spending time directly promoting + just get people familiar with you first.
