How Doing Less Has Made Me a Better Content Creator
Most creators are no stranger to burnout — or the feeling of not being inspired or excited about what they’re posting. You feel like you’re doing what everyone wants you to be doing, but sometimes the results aren’t there and neither is the passion.
Who wants to create content when you’re feeling that way? When I found myself faced with this situation recently, I decided it was necessary to make a change.
I started to create content in a way that was more sustainable and exciting for me but that my audience would still enjoy and connect with — I essentially started “doing less”.
Today, I’m sharing with you a few of the tactics that helped me fall in love with creating content again by “doing less”.

🖥 Threads now has a web version of the platform
The website is Threads.net
💵 TikTok is shutting down the storefront feature and will no longer support Shopify Storefronts
This is another effort to get creators to use TikTok Shop instead
❌ There are new updates to where X is heading to become an “everything app”
One update could be a more advanced video ID process that, similar to TikTok, would help them understand what you like to watch and what to show you to keep you in the app.
They’re trying to focus more on video discovery.
Another element they’re trying to implement is payments, and they recently got a transmission license in Maryland.
🔎 You can now search for branded content posts, Stories, or Reels with the Paid Partnership label
Will help creators see the ways other people have collaborated with brands
In the Ads library, you’ll be able to search the platform and the date range.
You’ll be able to see any campaigns that an influencer is participating in as well as search by brand to see all of the influencer campaigns they’re running.
