My two Boston Terriers, Mugsie and Keiko, are the best part of my day every single day. Mugsie is a 10-year old with lots of sass and almost no eye-sight while Keiko is just over a year old and totally terrorizes Mugsie because she always wants to play. In the fall of 2022, we also started fostering dogs, and it’s been the most rewarding thing. We’ve been able to save the lives of pups and help them find the best new homes — totally heartwarming.

All throughout high school, I was deep into art — Four out of seven of my classes my senior year were art classes. When I got older especially after college, it was hard to continue my art hobby because, you know, adulting. When I moved down to Charlotte, NC, I was introduced to a community clay studio where I took 12 weeks of classes and started to dig deeper into ceramics. Now, I have a home studio and sell my handmade pieces as a side gig.

Andrew and I met in the summer before 6th grade. He lived next to my cousin, so whenever I’d go play at my cousin’s house, Andrew would be there too. We began our childhood summer romance (it only lasted two weeks) and eventually reconnected in 2016 when our friend groups started hanging out more. Fast forward 6 years, and we had the most beautiful wedding with 90 of our closest friends and family (and the dogs) here in Charlotte, NC.
